WWE has brought the War Games to the main roster for the first time as part of their annual Survivor Series event. Four teams of men and women will enter the structure in hopes that many feuds will finally be put to bed.
Not only are the war games designed to take center stage, but many other matches on the card could potentially steal the show or even deliver a number of surprises.
#5. Sasha Banks is the ultimate woman in the WWE War Games
WWE may be planning a number of surprises for War Games and one of the big ones is the return of Sasha Banks. The former Women’s Champion has been out of action for over six months but many fans believe she could return for Survivor Series.
Banks has never been in a War Games match and this could be her chance to steal the show once again. She will be partnered with Bianca Bellar to overcome the threat of CTRL’s loss to take on her own challenge. Banks and Bellar have main-evented WrestleMania, and the two women could main-event again in 2023.
The fifth woman is slated to be announced on SmackDown, but WWE may delay the announcement until Saturday night in Banks’ hometown of Boston.
#4. Alexa Bliss made the switch midway through the match
Since Bray Wyatt’s return to WWE, there have been several teases regarding Alexa Bliss over the past few weeks. Bliss was once able to transform herself in the middle of matches and could do so again in the War Games, helping her team to victory.
It will also be a big tease about the alliance between Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss, who once worked together during his first stint as The Fiend. After Wyatt’s release, Anand lost creatively and needed to get back to a meaningful storyline.
#3. Austin Theory leaves Boston as the United States Champion
Austin Theory has changed a lot since losing his Money in the Bank contract a few weeks ago. The former NXT star has made it clear that he’s not one to take selfies anymore, but he means business and can prove it this weekend.
Siddhant enters a match with Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley and it’s hard to imagine him coming out on top. It would be a huge shock if Thierry can get past both men on Saturday night.
#2. Randy Orton returns, inserting himself into the War Games
Randy Orton has been out of action and struggling with a back injury since being attacked by The Bloodline in May. This would be the perfect place for him to come back and make sure he gets the revenge he deserves.
Orton could take out Ridge Holland and replace him in the match before Bell, this would allow him to be a part of the match and would mean that Orton has participated in a War Games match. The WWE legend still needs to scratch this off his to-do list.
#1. Bray Wyatt invaded the structure of the War Games, attacking Roman Reigns
Bray Wyatt can always expect unexpected performances. Although he’s not scheduled to be part of Survivor Series, it’s hard to imagine him not being there. The former WWE Champion has invaded Elimination Chamber in the past, so what’s stopping the lights from going out and The Fiend arriving to set up a showdown with Roman Reigns?
Wyatt and Reigns are rumored to be set for a showdown in early 2023 so this would be the perfect time to plant the seeds of a family vs. family feud.
