SmackDown tonight (November 18) with a live show from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. This is the second one SmackDown Build towards the episode over the course of three weeks Survivor SeriesWhich was on 26 November.

It’s not the same without Kevin Owens

last week SmackDown The angle ended with Drew McIntyre and The Brawling Brutes vs. The Bloodline setting up a War Games match. Survivor Series. That event is only eight days away, so the match will be announced tonight.

The babyface team of Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Ridge Holland and Butch needed one more member to fill out the five-man squad, and Kevin Owens stood out as the best man for the job.

KO hasn’t had a big spotlight since Triple H took over WWE creative. For some reason he disappeared from television after the end of September, but it was a good time to bring him back in a high profile storyline. The most recent rumors and reports indicated that he was indeed planned to be the fifth man on McIntyre’s team in Wargames.

Unfortunately, Kevin was injured at a house show last weekend and may be out of the War Games mix. It looks like WWE needs to make a call and find a suitable replacement.

Given the dominance of WWE Universal Champion Roman kings and WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos, the replacements, should be main event level stars. With that in mind, the biggest splash WWE has made is adding Bray Wyatt to the team and making it his first official match back. However, this War Games match doesn’t seem right for Bray’s current story that is developing with Uncle Howdy.

So who will replace KO? Seth Rollins? Kofi Kingston? Matt Riddle?

We’ll have to tune in tonight to see WWE’s solution to this problem. WarGames wouldn’t be the same without Owens in the match, so many wrestling fans will be crossing their fingers in hopes that he can still compete next weekend.

The rest of the title scene

Shotzi won a title match last week by pinning Lacey Evans in a multi-woman match Survivor Series against SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. Before the night was over, Rousey and Shayna Baszler confronted Shotzi and kicked her out. Shotzi will be looking for payback and a statement tonight in his singles match against Baszler.

First round of SmackDown The World Cup ends tonight. The winner of this eight-man tournament gets a shot at the future title Intercontinental Champion Guntar. Santos Escobar and Braun Strowman have already made strides. Tonight’s tournament matches include Butch vs. Sami Zayn and Ricochet vs. Mustafa Ali. The focus of the Butch/Zayn match may be more on war games than this tournament.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and IYO SKY have their hands full raw Here’s preparing for the war games match Survivor SeriesSo it is doubtful that they will appear above SmackDown.

Other things to watch out for

– After a month of all the talk and violence, Bray Wyatt dropped L.A. Knight with a headbutt last week. Because Knight is a loud-mouthed narcissist who made the mistake of mocking him. Is this the start of a feud, or will LA learn from his mistake and leave Wyatt alone?

– Emma appears to have a crush on Madcap Moss. That’s good news for MadCap, who isn’t being pushed around right now.

– The Viking Riders (with Sarah Logan) returned to WWE television last week defeating Hit Row and Legado del Fantasma in a no-holds-barred assault. Hit Row isn’t going to stand idly by and let the raiders get away with this attack, right?

– What’s next for Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez after coming up short in last week’s six-pack challenge?

– Carrion Cross could use a new direction after losing a steel cage match against Drew McIntyre earlier this month in Saudi Arabia.
