Welcome to RAW After Crown Jewel 2022 Preview! It was certainly an interesting event, with a first half full of very few matches and finishes. The second half produced a string of incredibly entertaining bouts.
Now that WWE’s trips to Saudi Arabia are over for 2022, the focus will shift to the next big premium live event – Survivor Series: WarGames. For the first time in years, the interbrand rivalry will end and WWE is giving Survivor Series a new take on the terms of the iconic Wargames.
We only have a small idea of what’s ahead this month, and WWE has less than 20 days until the big event. Expect matches and WarGames matches to be made official as early as next week, if not this week.
In any case, this week’s episode of RAW will plant the seeds for not only the next 19 days, but the rest of 2022:
#5. Will OC finally solve the Rhea Ripley problem?
It’s clear, and has been for some time now, that Rhea Ripley is the difference maker for Judgment Day. They’ve stood tall in every interaction with The OC, thanks mainly to the former RAW Women’s Champion.
Ripley also makes a difference in Crown Jewel and it will be interesting to see who the OC recruits as a female star to take on Rhea Ripley. Will the legendary Beth Phoenix be ready in time for Wargame after her attack at Extreme Rules a month ago? Besides Raquel Rodriguez, there aren’t many other strong women we can think of. As of now, there is no indication that Rodriguez will join OC.
#4. What will happen to RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Bellair and her allies heading into WarGames?
In a classic Last Woman Standing match, RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Bellair will defeat Bayley for Crown Jewel 2022 for sure. However, her allies Alexa Bliss and Asuka did not have the same success. They lost the tag team titles back to Damage CTRL five days after winning them – thanks to help from Nikki Cross.
It will be interesting to see how things play out, as there are eight clear contenders for the Women’s Wargames match. On the one hand, there are RAW Women’s Champions Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss and Candice LeRae. On the other side, the three Damage CTRL members, Bayley, Io Skye and Dakota Kai, with seemingly newly formed collaborator Nikki Cross.
But given that each side will have five competitors in the WarGames match, there is no indication of who might join the two sides next.
#3. What will happen this week in the Miz-Dexter Lumis-Johnny Gargano saga?
Last week on RAW, The Miz lost to Mustafa Ali as Dexter Loomis made a small appearance to gain attention. Then, Johnny Gargano revealed the truth in what we can only describe as an Emmy-worthy segment.
Gargano revealed that The Miz paid Dexter Loomis to return and attacked him for attention. However, a series of non-payments led to Loomis actually chasing The Miz. What will be the outcome of the storyline between The Miz and Loomis? And how will Gargano be involved?
#2. Will Mustafa Ali get one over Seth Rollins?
Mustafa Ali was successful against The Miz last week and continued to make statements against Seth Rollins. While the two did not have a US Title clash at Crown Jewel as expected, this means that we will soon see them clash on RAW or even at the latest Survivor Series.
Will Ali continue to gain the psychological upper hand on Rollins? Or will the US champion overtake him this week?
#1. Is the Bobby Lashley-Brock Lesnar trilogy going to happen right away?
Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar 2 ended controversially. The controversy started as The All-Mighty would attack Lesnar before the match. He dominated most of the bout but was pinned when Lesnar took him down while The Hurt Lock was in effect.
By the looks of things, Lashley’s shoulders were up as well. Either way, the result is done and cannot be changed. The two are tied 1-1 and a rematch is imminent, especially since Lashley let Lesnar make a statement after the match.
So what does The All Mighty have to say about what happened? Tune into RAW to find out!
