What Bayley’s return does for WWE and the women’s division of Raw

Bayley’s new stable will breathe life into a women’s division that is needed now more than ever. A shallow roster limited by injuries only allows for so much, but the addition of Bayley, Io Skye and Dakota Kai strengthens the division from the mid-card onwards. As it stands right now, both main roster brands have babyface champions, meaning three new heels are being thrown into the mix, especially with a strong veteran leader like Bayley, hoping for a more developed storyline and growth on WWE’s red brand. . All three women are also under the age of 35, which means that if they stay healthy, they could grow and lead the women’s division for the foreseeable future.

Bailey is one of the original Four Horsemen. Her run as Women’s Champion in NXT is the story of someone fighting from the ground up to succeed in the pro wrestling business. The WWE Universe grew her as a star as she put on main event quality matches for any division or any brand. Her character growth continues to be amazing, and the rise of “bad guy” Bayley continues to grow in popularity with fans. This dark version of her was her most popular and most successful run, holding the SmackDown Women’s Championship for a record 380 days.

The Raw women’s division lacks experience, and with Becky Lynch on the shelf, the addition of Bayley elevates the locker room by giving them another veteran for airtime. Her ring work and promo skills elevate Monday night stock. A star like Bayley is the longest-running episodic television show in history, and WWE’s longest-running show, helping to easily fill it with quality wrestling content. The 180-minute Raw demands many behind-the-scenes stars and behind-the-scenes producers, and having the Raw Women’s Champion join is an asset to any company, able to work on the fly and respond in real time. Bianca Belair as the main event draw.

Io Skye and Dakota Kai can elevate the WWE Women’s Tag Team Division

The women’s tag team division in WWE is one of the most disappointing. The slowly dying division and their lost tag championships are slowly fading into wrestling obscurity. The draw of Toxic Attraction and the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles up for grabs didn’t help the growth of the women’s divisions on the main roster. Then, with Sasha and Naomi in limbo and their status in the company unknown, the addition of Iyo Skye and Dakota Kai could lead to a tag team title scene. Skye and Kai give us a tag team with a history that dates back to their War Games match in NXT Black and Gold. Raw needs a strong pair of heels to assert themselves in the tag division. Both of these women’s experience as champions at nearly every level of their careers does nothing but increase the value of the women’s division.

Whether fans love them or hate them, the new trio adds a lot to the Monday night roster. Their intentions were clarified and their targets realized. Bayley, Io Skye and Dakota Kai put the entire WWE women’s division on notice. They were here, and they were going to take over.
