I don’t even know where to start God of Ragnarok War And its release date / showcase rumor, so let’s go here chronologically.

  • September 2021 was the first true showcase of God of War Ragnarok, aired outside of 2021 and delayed until 2022. It features a familiar but impressive scene in the second and final chapters of the Norse saga.
  • In April 2022, Corey Barlog, director of the Santa Monica Studios, released a video stating that he was not ready to show up yet, but thank you for your patience.
  • June 2, 2022 was the E3-Window PlayStation Showcase that featured several upcoming games, but God of War Ragnarok was not there or even mentioned.
  • This past week, rumors surfaced from online insider The Snitch that the PlayStation will finally reveal the release date of God of War Ragnarok today, June 30th.
  • Yesterday, Corey Barlog took to Twitter to post the following, indicating whether or not this would most likely happen, and indicated that the decision was not up to him.

  • Jason Schreier confirmed that yes, there was a plan to unveil the release date on June 30, but Barlog suggests that is not happening. That means he couldn’t believe the game was late.
  • Later yesterday, Corey Barlog responded to a fan and made it clear that the game was not too late. So here we are.

Putting it all together, we seem to have come to the point where studio director Corey Barlog says he wants to share information, but it’s not up to him, which means it’s up to Sony who doesn’t want Santa Monica. Say or show anything else. But he Is Confirmed that the game was not further delayed. Although this can be a difficult wording, as the game cannot be technically delayed without a release date, it seems safe to interpret. Is The release was officially announced, that God of War Ragnarok will be out in 2022, the same without footage from September 2021, and Barlog’s “We’ll Talk Soon” message that will remain a mystery and ask for restraint.

It can also be noted that the God of War release date (for the first game) was not announced three months before the release and three months from today is still the end of September and it is easy to imagine that the game will come in October. , In the 2022 window promised in November or December.

I don’t think there’s anything in it Care Here’s to myself, it’s clearly weird how Radio Silent has been going about this Sony / Santa Monica game since nine months ago, and I don’t think it’s an inappropriate question to ask about a possible delay when we know. Games are always late outside the holiday window and b) there was literally a rival huge game, Bethesda’s Starfield. Although it seems that some fans are going too far in harassing Santa Monica for information. Here is author Alanah Pierce:

Again, it’s not clear what’s going on here. Sony has practically no competition for the holiday window, so it doesn’t make much sense why pinning the exact date is so difficult. It’s also somewhat unclear why God of War Ragnarok hasn’t shown a release date yet, showing virtually nothing for the past nine months.

And yet, just because Barlog has not delayed the game through the 2022 window, does not indicate that there is some big secret problem here and everything is fine. Messaging, however, is confusing about the status of the game and when it’s coming, however, and I understand why fans are asking questions (although they need to do so respectfully).

I guess you will hear something within a month from now, but at this point, who knows.
