We hope you’ll be excited as Jane Foster’s The Mighty Thor will be playing in Marvel’s Avengers as a free update from tomorrow!

The arrival of Mighty Thor adds a new team structure to Marvel’s Avengers and a third Flying Warrior for the latest co-op play, which has reached 11 playable heroes, including Spider-Man on the PlayStation.

So what’s the scoop of Jane’s story? In Marvel’s Avengers, Jane is torn from the alternate timeline by a breakdown in space-time caused by Tachon inconsistencies. In her original timeline, Jane became the goddess of thunder when she took the cover of Thor, who abandoned Mzolnir after the A-Day tragedy.

Jane Foster is voiced by the talented Zehra Fazal, who is known for her work on video games and television. In addition to the collectible Intel document and the character Banner, the story of Mighty Thor is illustrated by Electric in-game animated – Marvels Avengers – The Mighty Thor: Out of Time – by veteran Marvel artist Takeshi Miyazawa.

So how does Jane play? The mighty Thor has all the power and might of the God of Thunder, but with human touch she has all her own things.

Jane’s unique talent with Mjolnir begins with her new inherent abilities All-Mothers Blessing and God Tempest, her new overcharge. All-Mother Blessing builds its overcharge meter with riot attacks. Once filled, she releases her God Tempest, causing extensive damage to the hammer and creating shocking ripples with each hit.

Her skills with Mjolnir shine through in many new features, including Quick Fire, a new range attack combo that allows Mighty Thorla to attack another more powerful range in terms of her next throw time. The Seek and Pin upgrade in her Range Attack enables Amzolnir to detect and pin enemies without aiming.

Jane’s expert control is enhanced in her struggle with Earth’s Finest, which adds a hammer toss to her light attack combo for extra reach. Jane also puts her own spin on classic Odinson moves like Headstrong. She relies on her Thunderkick – a brutal front kick – to send enemies flying.

The Mighty Thor’s kit culminates in The All-Weapon, her brand new Ultimate Heroic. Drawn from the leaves of her noble and valky run, Jane sends Mazolnir to find and destroy the nearest enemy target. Meanwhile, she called in an all-armed undergarment to protect her by minimizing all the damage done by killing her enemies.

All-Weapon has a whole set of specializations and it allows you to customize Mjolnir’s strikes, make it faster and create a powerful shock status against nearby enemies. Jane could even use Mjolnir as a personal rotation protection shield. See her in action in our most recent War Table Deep Dive below.

In addition to her amazing God-like fighting abilities, Jane has a variety of outfits inspired by comics. She also has unique takedowns, emoticons, nameplates and her own Hero Challenge cards and mission chains. These allow you to receive special prizes, including special cosmetics and Intel documents that study Jane’s story in depth.

As Mighty Thor, we can’t wait for you to be stormed by Marvel’s Avengers. This update adds to the already content-filled game, which includes an extensive single-player story campaign, 11 playable heroes, and endless multiplayer action for up to four players.

What’s next for Marvel’s Avengers? After adding The Mighty Thor to Patch 2.5, we’re going to add two new challenges as part of our ambition to take our story forward through hero and villain-centric content. More to come.
